Finding the right online degree program for you

Have you done all your research and know the degree courses online that you like. Now you're down to a choice between three universities distance learning program. How do you know which online degree program is right for you?

Review websites of the three contenders degree online again. Does anything stand out for you on how to explain their program? Is there anything that sticks out as a potential problem? For all that you like their description of their program to give them a point. For each concern we take a point away from or give them a point less. Tally up all the scores from this exercise and see if there is clearly more positive than others. This is your instinctive response to the way in which to present their material and remember that this is the main way that the online degree program will be presented to you after you register.

Next review again the questions you asked of them while they were doing your research, and the answers provided. For each answer a point to give schools a poor response, two points for each good answer and three points for every answer great. This is a comparative review and see if one of the schools overall response is more positive than others.

If you have not already done so make sure your list of questions include the following topics:

How long does an average student to complete their degree?

How many hours do you anticipate an average student spend on course work per week?

How old is the average age of students in their degree online?

What are their transfer policies?

Who are the faculty members and what their background training?

They have the library resources and mentoring services for students online?

Besides those questions that have already requested and received a response to technical, financial, and programming issues. Review all the answers again and give schools a point to a bad response, two points for good answer and three points for a great response. This is your opinion technique.

Now you have three different ways of assessing the options and this process should have a clearer answer the question of which online degree program may be right for you.
